James Cubitt Architects designed the winning entry in the competition for the United Nations Head Office in Nigeria. The building accommodates all the agencies of the United Nations in Nigeria.
True to the tradition of James Cubitt Architects, the fenestration is heavily shaded and the perimeter columns are external to the building.
Sadly the building was bombed with significant loss of life in 2011 but the building itself suffered surprisingly little structured damage. It has subsequently been reinstated.
